The Rides:

You can help SCORR, our sport and our environment by
staying on the trail.

Dillon Tenderfoot Riding Area and Track Club:

This is now two seperate areas: The daily or annual fee based family friendly "Tenderfoot Track Club" and several trails that are we are in negotiations about with several government agencies. Please respect the closed signs. There are 3 ways to get there. Here's the one for the track: Take the Silverthorne exit off of I-70 and go south towards Keystone. At the end of Lake Dillon, take a left into Dillon Cemetery. Take the first right to a parking area on the right of the cemetery. Here's the link to the WebSite.

You may access several trails towards the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70 depending on the latest closed signs. Access by back- tracking a few miles towards I-70, at the intersection of the "Lord of the Mountains" church and downtown Dillon. Turn towards the church side of the highway and the first right to get on the dirt access road.

This is a moderate to extreme 1/4 day ride and can get to Keystone if the trail is open.

Breckenridge Horseshoe Area and Beyond:

Take the Frisco/ Breckenridge exit and head towards Breckenridge. Take a left at the Breckenridge Golf Club and drive until the road turns to dirt and then keep going for another few miles. This accesses the best riding in the county and beyond. Several trails are now closed close to Breckenridge with SCORR approval, but there is still plenty to ride further away from town.

North Fork of the Swan, Middle fork, Georgia Pass, places called Radical Hill and Red Mountain and wild single track just to the south of Breckenridge. Do loops to Montezuma and Saint Johns. Find a map and leave bread crumbs. Extreme full day ride with camping potential. This can also be accessed from French Gulch in Breckenridge and Montezuma, CO.

Frisco Miners Creek: A short ride with a few side adventures:

Take the Frisco exit off of I-70. Take a right at the county/ library area just past the town, take the first right then quick left, cross the bike path and park. Stay on the jeep road until you hit the wilderness area. Then come back. Moderate ride with technical boulders during the last mile and a half. The side rides are above and to the west of Rainbow Lake. Several primitive camp sites are past the first water crossing.

Vail Pass: An easy to moderate ride on mostly fire roads:

Go to Vail Pass and park on the dirt frontage road away from the rest stop. Passanger cars are on this road so stay right and keep your speed down. A few side trails that deadend and one extreme ride with large boulders that deadends at treeline.

Bocco Mountain in Wolcott, CO.
Extreme custom-built single track:

This is an expert riding area that will kick your butt. Otherwise, what Heaven looks like to a dirt biker.

Take Wolcott/ exit 157 off of I-70 and go north a few miles. The dump road is on the right. Take the next left on "Horse Mountain Road". Drive a few miles to a parking area and ride the BLM and local motorcycle club built single track. A map is available with the link below. 15 miles of expert loop. ATV's can only ride on the main jeep roads. Another riding area is across route 131 between the dump and I-70. Look for single track trails off of 131 and do it. Very steep.

The Ski Areas: OHV's not welcome. Use the chairlifts to go up and mountain bike down instead. Several have built great downhill obstacle courses and single track for mountain bikes.
